Dressed for a walk

Always dressed for any occasion, I was ready to go for my walk
after we went to the gardener's market in Sewanee.

There is a great walking path, the Mommie lets us run on.
Sometimes, we meet kids and babies and other dogs.
I always like the babies the best.

Bailey Found!

Bailey is a doxie mix and she was lost for 22 days and she

is now back at home.

She was found pretty close to my house......how about that!

This is an email that her mom sent to the community.....

Bailey is home!! She is safe and sound and cuddling with her blanket on the couch!
Yes, we too are in shock, but in a very thrilled state of shock!

As you know, she was lost on 7/6/09 during the rock slide car accident we were in on I24 on Monteagle Mountain . We were en route to Murfreesboro , an hour north of the accident site and we were completely devastated and anxious to have her back home. With the woods and interstate encompassing most of that immediate area, we knew it would be very difficult to find her but tried relentlessly anyway (along with so many amazing people). She was found by Sarah Boykin of nearby Sewanee, traveling lost, confused and distressed and headed south on Jump Off Rd. – yesterday – a whole 22 days later!!! She recognized her from the poster she had seen and followed her until Bailey tired out and let Miss Sarah pick her up and take her home. Well, talk about an amazing and happy ending for all of us! Only 20% of lost dogs are found, and with the amount of time that had passed, the odds were against us.
We took her to the vet yesterday and although she lost several pounds and was flea and tick infested, she was not dehydrated and was by all accounts, in great shape for the amount of time she was lost (picture attached). JJJ

Thank you so much to everyone who copied flyers, forwarded emails, went searching in the woods with us, spread the word around to neighbors and on myspace and facebook, took us to back roads we knew nothing of in the area, printed laminated posters for us to post at intersections and prayed for her safe finding in the past several weeks. Matt and I would not have her back home without all of your help. So, thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

She is back home and resting and we are amazed and thankful at the happy ending and the amazing folks who did not know us before this accident, and yet helped us out so diligently.

It's raining today

It's going to be long day. It's raining
and Camo keeps looking out the window.

Shroom time

This mushroom is almost as big as me.
They are popping up all over.

Country Putty Cat

We saw this putty cat just sitting on the fence.
You always hear about someone just sitting on the fence.
Now you see it!

Doxie Puppies

It's a puddle of doxie puppies.
Camo and Mom went to a doxie event last Saturday.
Lucky for us, she didn't bring a new puppy home.

Baxter smells the Zinna's

Baxter is my big buddy. He comes over to visit and
he plays with Camo. He is too big for me to play with.
He has learned to stay out of the garden but he stills
enjoy a good sniff.

Pet Nanny wins 1st place with ME!

The Fourth of July was tons of fun. We were in the parade.
As the local paper said:
"Taking trophy's in the vehicle category were--1st
place Mesha's Pet Nanny convertible with huge stuffed dogs
(and Mesha's live , little fluff of a dog in her arms under
the umbrella) (that's Me!) and one animated dog
singing "Puppy Love"."

I helped Mom win, while Camo laid at the floor boards.

My garden car

I wish this car would go fast. It hardly goes anywhere
at all. Just around the garden and my mom sits on it.
