Friday the 13th

I am a lucky dog. I have a good home, the best mom and dad, a useless cat buddy, a tweety bird and lots and lots of hunting land to run around and dig holes in.
Don't care that it's Friday. Don't care that it is the 13th.

Don't say we didn't warn you....

My Daddy made this sign.
It's to keep the gate close.
I think, he thinks this is funny. My mom thinks they may help keep me in my yard. I think it pays to advertise. Posted by Picasa

Possum Hunting

My dad takes me hunting every day. That's what we call my walks in the woods.
Friday night I found a possum. He was right by the house. I went up to see the prehistoric monster and he just looked at me. I wanted to sniff him but my Dad called and I came running back. Then my Mom came out to look at the possum. He slowly walked away, while my Mom held me back. Lucky for him, cause I don't want no monster on my land. Posted by Picasa

Green with envy?

I just got back from the babysitter. Mom and Dad went away for two days and they just got back. I had fun at the neighbors. They have a big cat, a kitten and a little boy. I had lots of fun and attention. They didn't see me in this get up...... Posted by Picasa

Spring Fairy

Won't it be nice when spring is here?
I think I can smell the flowers now. Yesterday, felt like spring. It was 70 degrees on the mountain.

Today it's not nearly as nice. I got to run thru the mud today. No I wasn't wearing my fairy dress. It is in the closet till Spring. Posted by Picasa

When good dogs go bad

After my bath this week, I decided to layed down in some animal poop.
I made sure I got it all over my Christmas scarf that Mom had me wearing since Christmas Eve.
The scarf got washed and so did I. Two baths in one week!

Ho! Ho! Ho! a day late, but with a lot of love

I hope your Christmas was great!
It was really wonderful here.
Santa brought me a lot of presents.
I got a monkey on a rope, an itty bitty squeaky duck,
a pink piggy puppet and camouflage pajamas that my daddy made for me.
We had a Christmas goose for dinner.

On Christmas Eve , Mommy got a big surprise: food poisoning.
She was really sleepy all Christmas day and I spent most of the time on her lap.
Sometimes, you got to do what you got to do. Posted by Picasa

Why our cat doesn't have a blog....

This is Koi Kitty. As cats go she is okay.
She is very contrary to posing for a Christmas photo. She doesn't care about taking a good picture. We were all surprised that she wore the antlers! Posted by Picasa

Here comes Santa Clause, Here comes Santa Clause...

Santa Clause comes in all sizes.
Just like dogs do.
I hope the real Santa still recognizes me.
It's almost Christmas!
I've been very good. I hope Santa know that.
Today, we are going to drop off homemade fudge to our new neighbors.
It's a people food. I've been told that dogs don't like fudge. We like cookies! Posted by Picasa

With your nose so bright

I am as big as a Reindeer.

Yesterday, I visited the nearby dog pack. One Bull Mastiff, named Elly and one red Basset Hound mix named Douglas. When I run away, I go there and hang out with them. They are usually busy at their stables, minding their horses. Sometimes, when the horses come to our place, Elly and Douglas come along for a visit.
Even though Elly is the biggest dog out in these parts, she still likes me. I stand up on my hind legs, just to sniff her.
We drove to their house, in the truck and I gave them a Christmas gift of
dog treats.

Trio of pups, who is for real?

Little dog friends are so hard to find.
My Mom keeps looking for friends for me to play with. These dogs are stuffed. No, not stuck up just stuffed. I can sniff the difference. Hit a button and they move and sing "I got you Babe." Mom thinks it's funny. They are under the Christmas tree.

My brother Sage is gone and they have a new pup named Lily. She is kin to me , we think, but she is very scared of everything, including me. She is younger but bigger and all white. Maybe we can get a photo of her someday, so I can show you, Miss Lily.

Thanks for being my cyperfriend, Miss Emmi Lou, you sure are cute and I thought I had the cute factor. You need more close-up darling. The terrier look is all in our eyes. It's like we have Bette Davis eyes and they can't be denied. We can get anything with our soulful eyes.

The Littlest Reindeer

Did you know that all reindeer have antlers?
The boy reindeer and the girl reindeer all have antlers.
I can't believe that all of them wear sweaters and scarfs.
Sometimes, my mom tells me the strangest stories.
I don't plan on pulling any sleighs on Christmas eve.
I will leave that to the big reindeer.
I will wait for Santa to bring me toys. Posted by Picasa

Santa Baby

Dear Santa,
I have been very good this year, excellent, except for the time, I ran away because of the boom.
Okay, it was three times that I ran, but my mom always got me back.

I stopped chasing cats, barking at shadows and digging big holes.
Little holes are okay, I need the exercise.

All I want is more toys. Little toys that I can fetch.
No more clothes. I have too many clothes. Jeez, it's kind of embarassing that clothes I have.
I am a dog and we like to go "nakid."
Santa, I will leave you one of my chewies, instead of cookies. You could use a good chew.
Love,
Miss Daisy Mae Posted by Picasa

It's fun to stick my nose into everything. These flowers don't smell and I know I shouldn't eat them. Poinsettia are poisonsous to eat. I never eat flowers. I like christmas cookies and deer jerky. Posted by Picasa

Sad News

I've been away for a long time, but now we are back home.
I went travelling with my Mom and then we went to visit her Mom.

I found something out. Some people don't like dogs. I didn't know that.
My grandma doesn't like dogs.
I didn't know that, so I was so happy to see her.

We walked into her house and I had many people to greet; grandma and uncle and some cousins who were visiting. Once I settled down, (I was in a car for 10 hours), I noticed that Grandma was tired. I went and sat down next to her. Yes, I was on the couch! I didn't know that dogs could not go on couches. So many new rules to follow. I was very quite and comforting. Grandma began to pet me. She rested her hand on me. I knew I was there to help.
Grandma needed me.

I sat with her, sometimes next to her, sometimes she called me to sit on her lap.
We stayed at Grandma's for a very long time. I even slept with my mom on the hospital bed they brought in for Grandma. Grandma didn't want to sleep in that bed! She slept in her big bed . For days, she slept in her big bed and then she didn't get up anymore to walk around.

Many peole came and visited and everybody was happy to see me.
I had a big job! I was there to be happy.

I knew they were talking about how Grandma was afraid of dogs and didn't like dogs.
All I know is that Grandma liked me. I helped Grandma get over her fear of dogs. I hope she was able to pass without any other fears. I hope she is in heaven and she meets my brother Sage and he sits next to her. All dogs go to heaven and Grandma needs one there too. Posted by Picasa

Wine Dog

Today, I helped my Mom sell her wine. She took with me with her and I was very good and friendly to everyone. People we so surprised when I popped my head out from the doggie purse. Poeple gave me water and treats. I had chicken for lunch as we dined outside. Everyone is going to remember me and maybe they will remember my mom and her wine.

Big Slippers to Fill

I walked in my mom's shoe today. She took me to work today. We left Tuesday for a road trip to Kentucky. She sold wine today. I was cute and quiet all day long. My doggie purse in cozy and I slept most the day in it. Boy, she talks a lot. I was okay, because I was with her.
Then we had Outback takeout for dinner, love the rib meat. mmmmm good.
She brought my toys and chewies and my bed. It almost feels like home.Posted by Picasa
