When the cows come home....

Now, you know where the cows go when they come home.... to my house!
I even let them share my Dad's relaxing chair.
The cow's name is Bossy.
Sometimes it feels like everyone bosses me around.
They really expect me to come everytime they call my name.
I think they are Bossy too. Posted by Picasa

He hasn't been over lately...So I thought if I put his picture on my blog his mommie will bring him over to play.
He is just a little bigger than me.
He is a wire-haired dachshund, a mini dog like me. Posted by Picasa

Meet Marino

Here is the new doggie on the block.
Well, we really don't have a block.
Just a lot of land and a lot of trees.
He comes over to visit.
Lucky for me, he thinks I'm cute.
He is big and red.
I'm small and blond. Posted by Picasa

The best dog store ever.......

Last month, Mommie went to New Orleans and visited the best dog store ever.
Chi-wa-wa-ga-ga.
Tiny but very tony!
She got me a summer camo shirt, and a pair of sunglasses. Very John Lennon.
She only had a little time to spend but she could have gone ga -ga.
When in New Orleans go visit them in the French Quarter and say that Miss Daisy Mae sent you.

Mommie doesn't buy everything.....

Thank goodness.
I don't have this silly shirt.
It made mommie laugh and
it still hangs out at the doggie store and not in my closet. Posted by Picasa

Life is good

I'm ready for anything in my new swim suit.
The visor keeps that pesky sun out of my eyes, at least for the time it takes to take this photo.
I like the boat, I like the swimming, but do other dogs wear swim suits? Posted by Picasa

It was fun and I even went in the water with Mom. Posted by Picasa

Shake Rag Hollow

Posted by Picasa
This is a great place.
Shake Rag Hollow.
We drive there.
It's on the domain; the land that belongs to the school.
I get out of the car and I start to run.
Lots of wild smells and doggie smells too.
I guess other dogs walk this trail, sometimes I see big dogs and we sniff each other.
First time mommie took me here, she had me on leash the whole time.
BOOORINGGGG!
Now she lets me run and I have much more fun.
I can't go to far and I always turn around and see what she is doing.
She is always taking pictures of wildflowers and me.

Sharing the spotlight

Mommie says that it's about time I share the spotlight.
She has been taking photo's of other dogs.
Other dogs than me!
She can take their photo's but she can't have them stay.
I am still a little spoiled.

Mommie saw this dog at a garden fair, a few weeks ago.
Her name is Dolly. Posted by Picasa

I caught a big one!

Posted by Picasa

Here is my fish story.
It was early morning, you could hear the birds by their feeders and the fish in the pond.

The fish were jumping up to eat the catfish food, my daddy was throwing at them.

It's my nature not to like catfish.
I'm a dog.
They are part fish and part cat.
How could that be a good thing?

The fish food looks a lot like my dog food.
I thought if I catch all the catfish, I could have all their food.

I caught this big one all by myself.
I jumped into the pond and wrestled with it.
It tried to get away but I pulled it by it's tail, to the shore.
We are going to grill it tonight.
I should get the leftovers if there are any.
That's my tale and I'm sticking to it.

Pink Belly Puppy Dog

I am a rare bird.
I'm a pink belly puppy dog.
I fly in my dreams.
It's quite a sight to see me in the bird feeder.
I usually feed from my bowl. Posted by Picasa

Big Boots to Fill

Sometimes I follow Mommie around in her garden.
I keep her company and I like to see her dig.
I like to dig too. That's all the fun I can see in spending all that time in a garden. Someday I will fill her boots with dirt and boy, she will be surprised. Posted by Picasa

Bleeding Heart

I not a bleeding heart, the flower is.
I do show extreme sympathy for dogs of alleged persecution, like strays. As long as they are at a good distance, I think they are fine.

Yesterday, I chased a Great Pyrenees from my land. It was a big white ghost, 100lb pounds, 10 feet tall( I think) and I chased him away.

Mommie has been talking about Great Pyrenees, dreaming about Great Pyrenees and there is one that keeps coming around. He may need a home, but I'm not ready to share. She wants a guardian dog to protect me from the fox. I chased the guardian dog away. I'll chase the fox, if I get the chance. Posted by Picasa

Rolling, rolling down the river

This week end off to the river I'll go.
We will go all the way to Alabama and
I will get to stay in the hotel. Maybe I will have to hide.
We don't know yet.

The boat is my daddy's newest thing.
So far, so good, but I don't like going fast.
It's way too bumpy.
Mommy makes me wear my life persevere.
Pretty snazzy, but I don't like it very much.
If the water is warm enough, maybe I will get to swim in it.
I might like it more. Posted by Picasa

I'm back to my blog.

Mom is more interested in the flowers than me.
Sometimes, I sit among the daffodils so she remembers her Daisy.
It is very pretty here, but I don't smell the flowers. I rather smell the wet dirt and roll in stinky stuff. I run and run and hardly sit still for a photo. Posted by Picasa
