I'm playing coy today.
I'm all dresses up but a little too tired to smell the roses. 

Blueberry Jill

My Mommie found a thrill with Blueberry Jill.
There is a new little bird in the house. She is a Parrotlet.
A baby but she won't get much bigger.
She came home Saturday.
I got to meet her. As you can see, birds don't think much of me.
I am glad Mommie likes little critters.
Her next pet will be an ant.

Birdie is gone and Mom is sad

Last night my Mom came home from another long trip.
Everyone missed her.
Birdie our lovebird missed her the most.
He was on the bottom of his cage.
Mom is sad.
I sit on her lap to make her feel good.
I have to sit a long time.
We are going to bury him this evening.
He was good little bird and he liked me.
Bye, Bye Birdie. 

Friends are where you find them

Look what I found.
A toad.
it's fun to see him jump.
He smells bad but I like that too. 

Look what my daddy made for me!

He painted it red so it's easy to see.
Now all those trucks will know about me! 

Too cool to be true

This scarf is wet and cool.
It has cold jelly inside it.
Too bad it's not my size,but mommie put it on me to cool me down.
It's another hot day here.

I got a bath yesterday and flea medicine this morning. I plan to take it easy today and you should too. 

I dig Big Trucks!

Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy!
Big trucks are coming to my house.
They are digging a big hole.
They leave the dirt to make me a mountain.
I think it's pretty cool.

I wonder why they are here?

Daddy is going to make a sign for the truck drivers to read that says "Be Careful, a little dog lives here! " 

In the Sweet Potato vine

These sweet potato vines pop up all over. They look like flowers to me.
Mommie says they are a weedy flower and that is just fine with her.

We have a mess of them right in the front yard. They thrive in hot weather. They thrive, not I.
I like sitting under the shade.

It fits me just fine.
I wish I like hats as much as my mommie thinks I do. 

Introducing Elmo

You wanted to see Elmo.
Well here he is.
Cute but creepy at the same time.
One day, when it was hot he was out of his hiding place and hanging on the wood ceiling of our porch.
I still won't tickle him and I hope he won't tickle my belly. 

Gipper is my new friend

Hey look who came by to say hi, via this blog.
It's Gipper!
He's only one years old and he is bigger than me.
His mommie called him a 15 lb elephant.
He looks like more like a really hot guy to me.
I'm a teenager in dog years and
I got to admit I now look at studs!
He is a mix too, Shih Tzu and Bichon Frise.
Sound pretty fancy to me!
Gipper lives in Washington state, to faraway for us to play.

Porch Talk

I sitting on my porch, it's another hot day.
My mommie has this crazy problem.
It's not really a problem but it could be for me. I am just a tad jealous of everything and every one that takes my mommie attention away from me.
On this nice porch, up in the corner of the rafter is a little critter.
She named him Elmo.
Elmo is a bat.
Tickle me Elmo! NOT!
She named it Elmo so it has a happy name.
It's pretty little bat and it eats bugs.
Eating bugs is good.
But what if it eats me?
I have a rabies shot, so I am okay if that really happens, but could it happen? I don't want to stress about it. Like I said, it is really hot and I'm dog gone tired.

Daisy's Doggie Paddle

I hope I get to go today.
We went swimming on Sunday at the University's Lake.
Nice sandy beach to roll in afterwards.
I still smell like Lake.
MMMM good doggie smell. 

These dogs are tired

I want to know why people call their feet dogs.
Dogs don't get to go everywhere their feet go.
I think they should.
What do you think? 

Hot dogs!

Boy oh boy, it's hot!
How hot is it?
Hot enough that our tongues don't stay in our mouths.
These are some Sewanee dogs that my mom thought were good and hot. 

Pirates Beware, I am the Captain of this Boat

I am the Captain of my yellow boat.
It is too small for any one else.
It floats in the lake and at the swimming hole. I wear my swim jacket, just in case I go overboard. 

Keeping Cool...in this heat

It's another hot day.
The doggiest days of summer.
Maybe 100% today.
Maybe my mommie will take me swimming...
I'm a cool cat wearing her shades. 

My big Brother was also at the mutt show

My Big Brother "Dew" was also at the dog show.
We were litter mates.
He sorto looks like me, but with a better hair cut.
He is a big boy.
That truly makes me the runt of the litter. There were many puppies, more than 5....

His mommie entered him in the show too. They wore the same star hand printed t shirts.

I have kin all over this mountain.... 

I am proud to be an American

I may be a just a little dog, but I am proud to be an American. 

Mutt Show of Sewanee

It was a great day for dogs.
Mommie entered me in the dog show.
I was entered for littlest dog and my mommie had me shown by a cute 7 year old Molly Mae.
It was great fun.
