A DOG’S VIEW OF THE PARK
To the Editor:
The Sewanee
Dog Park is now more
than my sweet
dream. It is moving
ahead like a
greyhound after a squirrel.
I wanted to
share my opinion with
the community
that the dog park can
be the best
place for socializing: dogs
with dogs,
owners with owners and
most
importantly to me, little dogs
with little
dogs.
I attended
the last Sewanee Dog
Park meeting
on Jan. 31 to voice that
a litt le dog
like me—seven pounds—
needs to have
the safety and security
of a place to
frolic with other similar
canines.
I suggested
to the planning committee
that 20
percent of the dog park
would be
fenced off for the use of little
dogs—dogs
less than 20 pounds.
The next dog park planning meeting is
Wednesday,
Feb. 15, at 7 p.m. at the
Sewanee
Community Center. They
would love to
have your comments,
