I've been Rip Van Winkle

I've been sleeping a lot lately.

I'm not sure if I am just catching up on my beauty sleep or

not much has been happening around here to keep me up.

I do like to sleep. I am really good at it. I don't snore.

I will try to do some fun stuff, in front of the camera, so Mom can take some adorable pictures of adorable me.

Everybody is dressing for October

Here is a little hairless dog that is wearing a orange sweater.
It looks like October is just around the corner.

Pearl is the queen of the pack

Here is a pack of dogs that live in Birmingham Alabama.
They have a real nice Mom, who doesn't favor any of them, except for Pearl.
She is the Queen Bee, because she is the Beagle and she is Twelve.
You can see how Pearl keeps the cattle dogs in order.
The Cattle dogs are Lucy, Grit and Jesse.
I don't know why they are called cattle dogs, because they don't look cow size to me!

Camo is hiding from me. He doesn't do a very good job of it.

Still in the Pink

Nobody has heard from me in awhile.
I'm Here and I am still in the pink.

At the Holiday Inn

We didn't even have to sneak in.
They had a lot of dogs here.
Nice fluffy pillows at the Holiday Inn in Alabama.

Mom says that this is where Country dogs live...in barns.
Can you believe that?

Invite us to the picnic

We love picnics!
We love the outdoors.
The informal seating..look we are at the table!
The picnic baskets full of goodies.
The smells, the sounds and mostly all the good food that falls to the ground.

This week end we were four

My cousins from Illinois drove down to visit us.
I never knew I had cousins, but we all got along really well, except
for me and my Alpha attitude.
Even thought, I am small, I am in charge.
It took Kandi and Maisy, some time to figure it out.
Frankly, they could care less that I was in charge of the week end pack.

We had fun at the river on Saturday.
We ran around and went swimming.
We all had chewies, that nobody wanted to share.
Camo was in his glory, because we were all girls, except for him.
He can be quite a show off, when it comes to the ladies....

Kandi, my cousin

Kandi, is part Poodle and part Bichon Frise.
She is one smart little dog.
Mom says that mix is the perfect circus dog.
Kandi never swam, till we went to the river on Saturday.
She learned to swim to the floats and she seems to love it.
She lives near a beach and she should go often during the rest long hot summer.

Maisy, my cousin

Maisy is a fourth month old Black Shih Tzu, who loves to steal everyone's chewies for herself.
I have to admire the kid, she gets away with it most of the time.
Right now, she is littler than me. About 5 lbs.
She is softer than me and I hate to admit, she is sweeter than me.

Guess who is on top?

He likes to sit up there and look at me.
He may think he is top dog but
I am really on top of this situation and all situations because,
if I move from my spot Camo follows me.
I lead, he follows.

We are not allowed on the fancy bedspread and all the pillows.

Good Ole Summertime

I'm sitting here in our screened in porch, enjoying the breeze.
Hope you catch a cool one too!

All American Hot Dog

Camo is truly the All American Hot Dog.
Even though he got more attention than I did at the Mutt show.
He continued to be a wiener, not a winner.

Sweeter than Honey

Honey won 5th place at the Mutt show for Best of Show.
She is still a puppy and this was the first time she wore a dress.
Mom had an extra dress in my buggy and we put it on Honey ( she is my neighbor) and
she was a huge crowd pleaser.
She struted her stuff in the ring, like she was a pro.
Honey should go to real dog shows, because she lit up the crowd.
By the way, her trophy was 4 times bigger than mine!

Sewanee 4th of July Dog Show

This year was a big year for us.
We had a very special little girl as our handler.
Her name is Daisy.
Isn't that a lucky coincidence!
She showed Camo and I in the same contest.
At the last minute, I opted out of the littlest dog contest.
There were much littler dogs than me.
I did what I do best, I show offed in the Best Dressed Contest.
Camo went as the All American Hot Dog.
I went as the Dog in Pink.
Guess the winner?
Hint, Camo is still a wiener! ( not the winner)

The Mutt Show Ring

Here we are strutting our stuff.
Daisy, my special friend handler pushed me around the ring in my pink buggy.
The crowd loved it.

The Best Daisy Day

We won, we won, we won.
First Place for Best Dressed Dog.
I knew the pink buggy was a great accessory.
Somebody told my mom, that I looked like "Doggy Barbie"
Now, I have two trophies from the Mutt show.
It was great having Daisy as my handler.
I think the judges liked having Daisy showing Daisy Mae.
It was a great Daisy Day!

We are ready to celebrate

Camo and I are ready to celebrate the Fourth of July.
Today, we are going to get in the way, while our folks build a float for the parade.
When we look this cute, they have to pet us.

We are going to be in the annual Mutt Show.
I am going to be entered in the littlest dog contest.
Camo is going to be in the Best Dressed contest....he is going to be the All American Hot dog!
Wait till you see his costume.

Mom went and bought bar be cue food for the 4th of July.
I will be begging for my own hamburger.....wish me luck.

How Little do I Look?

This is my new pink party dress, which I haven't really worn yet.
I think I am going to wear if for the littlest dog contest on the Fourth of July.

I have entered the contest twice and the best I ever won was second place, even though.....
a puppy usually wins.
It's a little dog contest, not a puppy contest.
If I wasn't so polite, I think I would tell the judges that!
So this year, I plan to wear a little dress and not puff my fur up.

In the good ole summertime

In the good ole summertime, Camo likes to swing in his swinging bed.
That dog sure knows how to relax.
If he could drink lemonade, he would have a glass in his paws.

A body to lean on...

Sometimes, Camo leans on me for comfort and support.

The great outdoors

I like the outdoors best when the sun shines and the air is cool.
This has been a very good June.
Lots of sun and I get to go on many walks.

Mom is out of her cast, so she will be back to taking pictures.

Big party this week-end at our house.
I have a new pink party dress!

I'm okay,it's that my Mom

I haven't posted in awhile.
I'm okay but my Mom broke her elbow,her right arm.
That's the one the feeds me and pets me and also takes pictures.
We still go for walks and I still pose for her, but it doesn't do much good if she doesn't have her camera.
