Yappy New Year

I'm going to party like it's 2008!
Yikes. It's almost 2008.
In dogs years, that makes the world really old.

Everybody be safe and have fun tonight.
My fun will be the doggies bag my mommie will be bringing home.
She has already ordered her steak medium rare for tonight's dinner.
Just the way, I like my leftovers.

Happy New Years to all my blog friends.
Stay tune to next year, we are going to have lots of fun and fashion here.

Saturday Night Fever

I could have danced all night....I could have danced all night....I could have danced all night...
La la la la la
That's all the words I know.
It's Saturday night go kick up your paws!

Pink Snow Bunny

I am ready for the snow.
This is the outfit Santa brought me this year.
It's really warm and over the top cute.
I am so pink and cuddly that maybe I am not real.
What do you think?

Merry Christmas to all

Yikes, I know I am a day late, but I was helping Santa with giving out toys and treats.
Sorry to say, it really cut down on my blogging time.
I do want to wish everyone a wonderful holiday and a great Big Happy New Year.

Christmas was fun.
I got new toys and a new pink jacket.
We open our own presents, because Santa fills them with doggie treats.
It's best that way.
Maybe you got presents that you could chew on too!

It's getting to look a lot like Christmas

We run around in our Christmas outfits just for fun and attention.
Who wouldn't pet Santa Dog and his best little reindeer?

Which way to the egg nog?

Camo is celebrating Christmas too fast and too hard.
I tell him he has to pace himself, because Christmad is not till Tuesday.
He can't wait. He wants Christmas today!
He is such a puppy!

The Littlest Reindeer

If reindeer fly on Christmas Eve, than I better get practicing.

I might just be too small to fly with the big reindeer, so I think I'll hitch a ride in the bundle of toys.
If I forget to get back into Santa's sleigh and get left behind in some one's house,
forget about leaving me a carrot, I prefer prime rib and cookies.
But make sure I get back home, so I can open my presents on Christmas morning.

Santa's Elf in Training

Posted by Picasa

Christmas Elf in training

Just becasue I am little, they think I would be a good Christmas elf.
I could help Santa deliver all the toys and candy.
I might hide a little of the candy for myself, but I wouldn't tell anybody, so I won't get caught.
I like the elf idea, but I don't like the uniform, pointy green hats just make me look silly.

American Gothic

You just went to your mailbox and received a stack of holiday cards and letters.
We didn't have your address so we had to send our holiday wishes to you in my blog.
Merry Christmas to all our friends.
Consider this our Christmas photo to you.

Stick my nose in it

Don't you wish you could stick your nose into just about anything,
for the pure joy of the smell.
Dogs do it, every chance we get.
We like all sorts of smells.
Stinky is better than sweet.
We can tell a lot about everything by just smelling it.
Now, I know I am just a little dog with a little nose ( not like Camo's big shooze) and
I happen to have a wonderful wardrobe for my adventures but I can still smell like a big dog.
I am closer to the ground than most dogs.
Okay, Camo is another exception with his funny big doxie feet and short legs,
he is sometimes looks like he just slightly above the ground.

I have another question.
If this story is my story, how come Camo keeps interupting me.
Just like real life, I guess.
I can only recommend that you think really hard if you really
want a Dachshund interupting your life all the time.
They have that habit.

So back to the joy of smell.
I like the woods becasue they smell better than the house.
Mom says that's a good thing.
But I'm not so sure, because the house has mostly the same smells,
except for candles, air fresheners and burnt dinner.
The woods smell like critters, poop and decaying leaves.
I prefer the woods....if you could smell as well as we can I know you would to.

Big Ears

When you have big ears like Camo and it's really cold out side
and you have a Mom like ours, this happens.

SShhhhhh, he's sleeping

Camo takes a nap.
Finally he is out of my hair.
Some days he is non- stop pesky.
Maybe it is his new sweater that puts him to sleep.
It's a good day to stay warm and toasty inside the house.
I think I will go take my nap.
Be my guest and take a nap yourself.

I thought I mention it

I noticed that everyone is getting busy.
That is not what the season is all about.
The busier you get the less pets your dogs get.
So rest a moment and pet your pets.
I think everyone will benefit.

New raincoat

I have a new raincoat and you can see how thrilled I am.
It's just a snooze to me.
It's been raining all night and day and I think I rather sleep than go out.
It's great being a dog and not having a job.

Rock City and me

Rock City sits atop Loockout Mountain. GA, near Chattanooga.
It's a 75 years old rock and view attraction.
They always have a speciall holiday light show, called the "Enchanted Garden of Lights"
We went to visit it last Sunday.
The best part of the place is that pets are welcomed.
Camo and I enjoyed the walk and the people.
I am infront of the gingerbread house.
Who sparkles more the house or me?

Turkey Hunt

I heard that today is turkey day.
I told Camo that we better go hunting.
Today is the day to find turkey.
It shouldn't be to hard.
I think I can smell them in the air.
I like the kind of turkey that is well cooked and cut into little pieces and that fills my food bowl.
That's the kind I am hunting for.
I think it will be in the kitchen, rather than the woods.
Wish me luck.
Happy Turkey Day to you too!

Today I'm Four!

Today is my Birthday.
Mom gave me a bath yesterday so I would look extra nice in my new fuzzy pink sweater.
I think I will celebrate by rolling in the leaves with this fuzzy pink sweater.
I would be 28 in people years.
I think dogs have the best counting system becasue we are forever young.
Maybe not forever, but I never met a dog that was in a hurry to grow up.
Four is a good age, I am old enough to know better and smarter enough not to care.

Do I fit in?

This is the rug for the new house.
Do you think I fit in?
I like it because it has lots of color and I should be "step upon" proof.
Camo blends in our old house carpet, and he gets under foot.
I visit the new house almost everyday and they still haven't moved in.
I think we will live there next year, but Mom says that it's not that far away.
People take a lot of time to get things done

Little Ole Me

Sometimes, I forget how little I am.
I am really, really little.
But that doesn't stop me from doing anything I want to do.
Sometimes it helps me from doing something I don't want to do.
So it's not a handicap, it's a helpfullcap!

Buggy Fight

This is our pink buggy.
We do not like to share the buggy, so Mom usually lets me have the first and longest ride in the buggy.
Camo walks the longest and I ride the longest.
If we both have to share the buggy, I get a little crazy and let him know who is in charge.
If it wasn't my buggy, why would it be pink?

Tastes like grass

Camo will try anything. He licks the grass like a water buffalo.

Walk with me

It's what we like to the most.
Go out and explore the world.
We like wide paths that we can run back and forth on.
When we get tired, we ride.
You'll see our ride next post.

Do dogs jog?

I don't think we do.
I run. I walk.
Sometimes I layed down on my back and roll down the hill.
But I don't think I jog.
Why am I wearing a jogging suit?
I don't jog.

Mom just said becasue it's deer season.
It's good to wear orange in the woods.

Joe College

We live in a college town...Yea, Sewanee's Right!
That is really what they cheer out here.

It's gone to Camo's head. He dresses like Joe Jock.
Mom says the blue shirt brings out the blue in his one eye.
Sewanee is a great college town for dogs, because they have a lot of them,
but few dress up like we do.
